Chloe and Danielle are very particular about quality; that's why they always wanted to open a unit where all the items could be made the way they want and under their eyes.
This workshop could emerge after the meeting with a great Indian woman, Ritu Jain, who totally understands what they wanted and who were excited to put all her textile knowledge in this new project.Since this through chance meetings, Ritu is their partner, she manages and looks after the workshop, and help them also to design as her Indian eyes is essential in their collections.
Quality starts of course by using only the best materials, natural, respectful of the ancient craftmanships, and respectful of the working conditions of all the people involved in a Nana Ki piece.
They always work with the best skilled craftmen and go the roots of indian textile traditions, weather it is Benares woven ultra thin mulmul cottons, Jaipur block printed fabrics or leharia and bandani dyeing, hand-made Chikan embroidery from Lucknow, cashimiri hand-spun hand-woven pashminas and other treasures of indian textile.
In order to control the level of quality they expect, it seemed all natural for them to open their own little workshop in Delhi, where everything is centralized, carefully stitched, finished, and checked with all the attention given to the smallest details. So that each of Nana Ki piece expresses their love for indian textile craftmanship and for quality.
This little family workshop exists since almost 10 years now and is still proudly and happily standing, in the heart of the effervescent New-Delhi.
